Ethical and Sustainable Brands Gift Guide

Here at Brume & Daisy, I’m passionate about supporting ethical and sustainable brands who do good by people and the planet, so I’ve created an ethical and sustainable brands gift guide to highlight their amazing work! There are lots of amazing brands doing great work, but today I’ve selected some favorites for an ethical brands gift guide to get you through this holiday season!

Nisolo- Nisolo makes beautifully-designed and crafted shoes– the most popular being the mules, oxfords, and Chelsea boots. I own the Huarache Ecuador sandals and have the Chelsea boots on my Christmas list. These shoes are so well made. They are a certified B-Corp committed to ethical and sustainable practices. According to the Nisolo transparency report, all producers receive beyond fair trade wages, healthcare, and a healthy working environment.  This is my Nisolo referral code if you make an order.

Everlane- Everlane produces in ethical factories that are evaluated on factors like fair wages, reasonable hours, and the environment. Their products are quality, classic, and designed to last. I think their best-selling cashmere sweater would be an incredible gift, but you can’t go wrong with a brand that focuses on timeless classics. I literally wear Everlane trousers or jeans every single day. This is my Everlane referral code if you make an order.

Bite Beauty– Bite Beauty products are clean, cruelty-free, unprocessed, and free of nasty chemicals. I’ve used both the Amuse Bouche Lipsticks and the Longwear Lip Stains and think they’re the best lip colors I’ve ever had. I know people also rave about the Agave lip therapy products, so I think you could put a lovely little beauty bundle together with these. Conveniently, Bite is available on Sephora.

Driftaway CoffeeDriftaway Coffee is an amazing ethical and sustainable coffee brand that does whole bean coffee and giftable coffee subscription packages for the coffee lover on your list! Every single component of the Driftaway Coffee packaging can be composted through soil composting, and the brand buys offsets to balance any carbon emissions produced, with a goal to be fully carbon-neutral by 2020! Plus they do right by the coffee growers, and provide information on pricing and pay, farmer feedback, and more. I think it’s really cool you can get a coffee subscription sampler pack and then customize it to your taste. And in fact, I’m drinking one of their coffees as I write this today!

Girlfriend Collective- Girlfriend Collective’s yoga and workout gear is made from recycled materials in ethical factories. Their leggings and bras are available in sizes that should work for size XXS to 6XL, and they come in a bunch of super cute colors.

Made TradeA site for thoughtfully-designed, ethically-sourced home goods and sustainable fashion. All brands on their site adhere to one or more of the following value systems: sustainably made, fair trade, heritage, USA made, or vegan. They carry everything from earrings to rugs to throw blankets, and they even have a Gifts section

In lieu of deals or discounts, Made Trade will be purchasing carbon offsets from Carbon Credit Capital at various tiers on behalf of our shoppers from Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

Petit Vour- Petit Vour holds all of its brands to the standard of clean beauty, cruelty-free, ethically-produced, fair trade, non-toxic, and vegan. You’ll find great brands like 100% Pure, Osea, Kani Botanicals, Meow Meow Tweet, and Ilia on their site. They also do beauty box subscriptions, which would make a great gift.

LUSH cosmetics– LUSH cosmetics is an OG cruelty-free, handmade, natural beauty product brand. I personally love the Ro’s Argan Oil, and the Cup of Coffee face mask. They also do incredible gift boxes and lots of holiday products.

Cora Ball – Consider this a stocking stuffer for the crunchy granola person in your life, but I think this is super cool! The Cora Ball protects the ocean environment with this easy-to-use laundry ball that catches microfibers shedding off our clothes into the public waterways.

MATE the Label– MATE is committed to using non-toxic, natural and certified Organic materials. According to the MATE transparency guide, their cotton is grown in Maharashtra, India and knitted in the United States. It is globally recognized to be of the highest standard, including environmental and social criteria.  The brand specializes in comfy, cozy basics like t-shirts, joggers, loungewear and sweats.
